COBRA SNAKE

When I was the head shaper for Aloha, I took a deep dive into 90’s and 2000’s board design. I grew up surfing these shapes and some of my favourite surfers and surfing came from this time. The pulled in outlines and extra rail length made for some truly timeless lines and turns. Nothing beats seeing a longer board being put through its paces. Some of the old designs were a little extreme for everyday conditions so I’ve sifted the gold out of these 90s shapes.

Key elements:

  • Slightly lowered nose rocker

  • Blended concaves

  • Fine tuned rails and fin placement

  • More user-friendly and versatile HP shortboard with 90s flare
