QUALITY SURFBOARDS  BY JONNO COLE

THUNDER EGG

A surfboard with a white background and red lightning bolt designs leaning against a wooden wall. The wall has vintage signs and a mirror, with a rustic wooden counter on the right side holding miscellaneous items. A yellow and white road reflector is on the floor next to the counter.

Before the “mid-length” there was the egg. That’s right, the egg came first. There is untapped potential to develop your surfing on a Thunder Egg.

Key elements:

  • A rolled entry on the bottom feeding into a quad plane hull

  • Rails are up through the nose and neutral through the middle, feeding into a soft tuck

  • Hugely versatile, a wave catching machine for all levels

  • Beginners can pick up a lot of waves, paddling and easily duck diving

  • Advanced surfers can find the cleanest line across an open face and get their flow on

Recommended ridden as a two plus one with TRUE AMES side bites and a 6.5” flex fin single.

*FOR REFERENCE: I ride a 6’9 x 21 x 2 3/4 - 43.8L and I’m 6 ft, 80 kgs
