QUALITY SURFBOARDS  BY JONNO COLE

MAGPIE

This cut down snubb nose quad egg is made for more than just a cruise and trim. This is my go to if I haven’t checked it and want to cover all my bases. Made to have all the benefits of that extra rail line in both paddle power and speed yet with a combination of rocker and bottom curves that allows a top to bottom approach in waves from knee high to overhead.

Key elements:

  • Good for all conditions

  • Loves the open face of a point break but can be ridden in wind chop beach breaks.

  • Has a seamless speed generation

  • Feels like it’s on tracks through turns and tubes

Recommended fin - futures split keel. As both nose and tail have been lopped off, it’s recommended to ride at least 4” shorter than a go to mid length OR 6” longer than a standard shortboard.

FOR REFERENCE: I ride a 6’7 x 20 3/4 x 2 5/8 - 41L and am 80kg and 6’0 tall.
